One place for web typography
Nice Web Type began as an unfinished guide to web typography.
Unfinished it remains, though I’ve spent many hours pondering how such a guide might eventually come to life. Any attempt I could presently make to sum things up would be outdated faster than I could finish.
I actually have more questions than answers. So why not keep asking.
Questions not only about web-friendly fonts, CSS grids, and reading on screens, but also about the fundamental ways in which type and data interact, and the role of the typographer in our world of commonplace self-publishing.
Bolstered by the power of social creation, under the auspices of the good folks at Ma.gnolia, Flickr, Twitter, Wordpress, and likely others, Nice Web Type will aggregate collections of links, step-by-step technical advice, blog posts, articles, exemplary work, and more – those isolated, bountiful resources we have all known and loved.
So that we might learn from one another. So that our resources are never misplaced. So that the individuals who generously gave their attention and time to guide us might not go unrecognized.
One place for web typography. Nice Web Type.
